I've shot food commercially for the past eight years in London. I've shot small and big campaigns, worked with incredible brands, and built a business I'm actually proud of.
I've also spent a chunk of those years saying yes to briefs I didn't really want, because that's what you do when you're trying to stay booked.
The thing that changed it was one personal project. Built around a brand I genuinely wanted to work with, before they'd ever hired me. That project led to a conversation. The conversation led to a retainer. And I realised I'd stumbled onto something that worked,
and that nobody was really teaching.
