I'm Jenni, the person behind Her Edit
I shoot commercials and teach photographers to build creative projects around the world.
My love story with food began in 2019.
I remember standing in our tiny flat in Brighton, cooking dinner and daydreaming about a life where photography and food weren't just something I loved on the side but a real career I could be proud of.
At the time, I was working at American Express, knew nothing about running a business, and definitely didn't have a five-year plan. But I had passion and determination. And sometimes that's enough.
The success didn't happen overnight, and there were hard stretches along the way. But I wouldn't change any of it.
I've always been that person who gets genuinely emotional about food. The last time it happened we were in Bologna, eating an 11-layer lasagne - the kind of meal you'd travel back for in a heartbeat. (If you're a foodie like me, I think we're gonna make great friends!)
So in the beginning, I started shooting recipes at home and said yes to every small job, and they all taught me something. A lot about resilience and that giving up was not an option!
I invested in mentors, masterminds and courses. And slowly, things began to shift and I started seeing bigger briefs and budgets that followed from the back of my personal projects I was building.
In 2022, something clicked. I knew that if I wanted even bigger budgets and better opportunities, taking beautiful pictures wasn't enough anymore. I had to learn to think like a creative director and build work with wider teams and it worked!
I moved from creating individual images to building entire worlds - and that's when larger production companies started to take notice. I learned how to craft something deeper: an experience clients were stepping into, not just a shoot they were booking.
And that's when I started seeing a real change in my daily life.
Seven years in the industry, and I built a business that felt both successful and sustainable - one that let me work with incredible clients, travel, stay in beautiful places, and get paid well without burning out. (There are still moments where I think... is this actually my job?)
Her Edit is the next chapter of that journey, and I feel genuinely excited - and grateful to be supporting such incredible group of photographers every single week.
Across my 1:1 mentoring and Her Studio, I work with commercial photographers who feel that same pull toward something bigger. They want more meaningful projects, more confidence, and more sustainable income. I teach them how to create with strategy, think like directors, and position themselves for higher-level work - all while being part of a community that actually gets it.
