Her Studio
Where food photographers stop waiting to be discovered — and start shooting for the brands they actually want.
WHAT HER STUDIO IS
By the end of 12 months, you'll have 12 beautiful projects, a portfolio and confidence that positions you as a commercial photographer + director brands can't wait to work with.
One project a month, creative direction and on going support - built to move your portfolio forward until it looks exactly like the level you want to work at.
01
The Concept

A clear monthly brief — like a real agency deck — so you're never staring at a blank page. The direction is set. The creative thinking is there. You just bring your world to it.

02
The Direction

Step-by-step training on how to develop a concept into a full story — styling, lighting, set-building, shooting with intention. Creative direction for photographers who already know how to shoot and want to shoot with more purpose.

03
The Pitch

How to present your work like a creative director and turn each project into something you can show brands confidently. Building the work is only half of it. Knowing how to talk about it is what gets you in the room.

04
THE COMMUNITY

Live calls, project feedback, and a space full of photographers building at the same level. The kind of people who get it without you having to explain it — and who work hard enough that being around them makes you want to do more.

What's included
What you get inside

2 live calls every month: real sessions, real questions, no recorded-and-forgotten energy.
Portfolio reviews and monthly project feedback, so you know your work is landing before it reaches an art director.
Live trainings on projects, pitching and mindset: built around where you actually are, not a generic curriculum.
Templates, a growing resource library, and access to every masterclass I create that's relevant to where you're going.
And the community. Photographers at your level, serious about the same things, who make you want to do better work.

What changes
The next 12 months inside Her Studio, will transform your career with:

12 complete, campaign-level projects that finally show what you're capable of, not who happened to hire you.
A visual identity that's unmistakably yours, so people look at your work and immediately know it's you.
The creative confidence to build personal projects without second-guessing every decision.
A clear way to talk about your work to brands — so the pitch feels as strong as the portfolio.
The proof that you were always ready. You just needed the work to show it.

The community
The best part? You're not doing this alone.
One of the best things that happens inside Her Studio - and one of the most valuable - is finding yourself around people who are working at the same level. A room full of photographers who are serious about building something exciting, who give helpful feedback that makes your work better, and who make you feel like the work you're doing matters.
No pressure to show up a certain way. Just support when you need it, and the kind of company that makes your own work better.

How it works
1 You join
You land inside the current month's project lab - brief, training, creative direction and community all ready for you. No waiting for the next cohort. No three-week onboarding. You're in and creating by the end of the week.
2 You create
With a clear concept, real direction, and a community around you - you build something you're genuinely proud of. Work that looks like you, not like a brief someone else handed you.
3 Your portfolio shifts
Month by month, you build a body of work that speaks a clear, consistent language. The kind of portfolio that makes art directors stop scrolling. The kind that makes the brands you want feel right at home.

"I built Her Studio because I couldn't find it when I needed it. Everything in here is what I wished someone had shown me earlier."
Jenni Helin, The founder of Her Studio

FAQ
I'm not based in the UK does that matter?
Not at all. We currently have photographers joining from the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Everything - briefs, trainings, resources - is fully accessible wherever you are. Live calls run late afternoon UK time, but every single one is recorded, so you can watch in your own time if you can't make it live.

I have never worked with a food stylist, can I still join?
Yes. Her Studio is about building your creative practice and developing your directorial thinking - not about having a full production team behind you. If you want to start collaborating with a stylist at some point, we can support that. But it's absolutely not a requirement.

What exactly do I get each month — what's the format?

Each month you receive a campaign brief as a PDF and a recorded video training where I walk through the creative direction and my process step by step - so you know exactly what you're working toward and how to get there. You'll also get access to Canva templates you can use directly in your own business, plus any additional resources relevant to that month's project. It's a mix of video, downloadable resources, and live calls.

What if my financial situation changes, can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. Cancel and you keep full access to everything until the end of your billing cycle. No awkward conversations, no obligations.

I've done other photography courses and been disappointed. How is this different?
Most photography education is either technical (for people still learning to shoot) or aimed at food bloggers rather than commercial photographers. Her Studio isn't a course at all - it's a creative practice built specifically for photographers who already have the skills and want to build the portfolio and the brand that attracts better clients. If you've felt like existing courses weren't really for you, there's a good reason for that. This one is.
